Fresh: A seminar on new research about domestic abuse experienced by LGBT* people

Fresh: A seminar on new research/evidence on domestic abuse experienced by LGBT* people will take place on 25th February 2013

The event highlights new pioneering research by Stonewall (Research, Campaign Lobby Group), based on their national LGB health survey. The briefing will include key findings from two surveys:  Prescription for Change, a study into lesbian and bisexual women and Stonewall’s Gay and Bisexual Men’s Health Survey. Not to be missed, especially for those seeking funding/commissioning for new services.

The event will also give an overview of research just published following our Transforming Domestic Abuse Conference, held in partnership with Broken Rainbow, Galop, Gender Matters and Gendered Intelligence.  This report highlights Trans* domestic abuse service specifications and the need for services to be welcoming and inclusive of trans* people and ideally run by or in partnership with trans* organisations.

We will also be launching a new research campaign  that aims to ask both practitioners and LGBT* survivors about their experiences when trying to access services.  With the Equalities Act in place- what are the lived experiences of LGBT survivors in 2013?

A great place to listen, learn and participate. Not to be missed and free to those on our mailing list.
