New services at Metro

LGBT Hate trime and domestic abuse service

LGBT Hate Crime Service

This service provides support to people who have experienced hate crime who are LGBT throughout South Londonin three complimentary ways. Firstly, it provides short and long term one-to-one counselling in multiple, accessible sites across South London. There is also a community action group, guided by participants, that aims to engage with the LGBT community and other relevant parties (the Met, Victim Support, etc.) in order to devise initiatives to help prevent future LGBT hate crime. And finally, a volunteer peer mentoring programme trains volunteers to help their peers affected by LGBT hate crime in a personal, one-to-one setting.

Domestic Violence Service

This is a bi-weekly therapeutic support group for survivors of same sex domestic violence where the input is guided by participants.
